Marco Colangelo

Assistant Professor of Electrical and Computer Engineering

Marco Colangelo is a tenure-track faculty member in the Electrical and Computer Engineering Department at Northeastern University. His main research interests include superconducting devices for single-photon detection, microwave engineering, hybrid integration, quantum nanostructures and nanofabrication technology.

He received his Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 2023.

Francesco Venza

First-year Graduate Student

Francesco received his M.Sc. in Nanotechnologies for ICTs in 2024 and his B. Sc. in Engineering Physics in 2021, both from the Polytechnic University of Turin. His current work focuses on the development of metamaterials for SNSPDs technology.

    Evan Clifford

    Third-year Undergraduate Student

    Evan Clifford is a third-year undergraduate student majoring in Electrical Engineering. He is joining the lab as part of a six-month Co-op, supported by Northeastern’s AJC Merit Research Scholar Award, and hopes to pursue a PhD in Electrical Engineering after graduation.
